My second article in Electronics Journal

Andrzej Wojciechowski

I’m happy to share that my second paper submitted to Electronics Journal has recently been published. The article entitled: “A Proof-of-Concept FPGA-Based Clock Signal Phase Alignment System” describes the primary topic of my PhD research – a simple and efficient clock phase synchronization method and system. In the article I’ve also described an FPGA implementation of the system.

The article details

The paper has been accepted in early July, but due to some problems regarding finalization and payment by the university, is has been published in August. Nevertheless, it’s finally published. This motivated me to create a page with a list of my scientific publications.

The article describes a concept of clock signal phase alignment (synchronization) system and method that I developed. Turning the concept into a functional FPGA-based proof-of-concept was challenging, because it required a precise relation between a couple of paths’ delays. After some time I finally succeeded and the inaccuracy in the relation varied from 1 ps to the maximum of 2 ps across all PVT corners.

The proof-of-concept prototype works correctly and proves that the concept is functional not only in ideal simulation circumstances, but also in practice!
